The Bodega Marine Laboratory Aquatic Resources Group (ARG) provides a range of services in support of research and public education. This unit is responsible for providing facility wide animal husbandry/life support services to faculty, research staff, visiting scientists, students, both on and off site, on a recharge basis. ARG supervises and performs the routine health care and environmental maintenance work relevant to collection, receiving, housing, handling, evaluation, culture, nutrition, disease treatment, and disposition of a wide variety of research and public education animals.

ARG manages all BML research wet space, ensures that IACUC and AAALAC requirements are met, including training and record maintenance for on site researchers, staff, and students. ARG participates in campus, state, and federal vertebrate research inspections and is responsible for implementing applicable requirements to assure facility wide compliance.
