Louis Botsford

Louis W. Botsford is a Professor in the Department of Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology at the University of California in Davis.  His research on environmental influences on Pacific salmon began in the 1980s, and included collaborative research in the US GLOBEC program through its recent completion.  He also served on the Lindley committee to determine the cause of the recent closure of the salmon fishery.  Research in his lab currently involves: a) the effects of recent environmental shifts, b) managing population diversity, c) the presence of cohort resonant effects, and d) changing environmental spectra.
